Boy Scouts of America
Eagle Scout
My service project was a roughly 2,000 square foot landscaping project on the hillside entrance to Don Benito Fundamental School in Pasadena, CA.
The landscaping consisted of planting over 50 environmentally appropriate, drought-resistant and erosion-preventative plants, installing an irrigation system, and creating and installing educational plaques. It required approximately $1,500 in fund raising and over 175 hours of volunteer work.
Senior Patrol Leader
Led 40+ scouts in weekly meetings, campouts and activities.
Other leadership roles
Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Champlain Aid.
Campus Ministry
Campus Ministry is the epitome of the school motto and the center of the Catholic faith on Loyola High School's Campus. It has connected me with my faith and allowed me to participate more in my religion.
Transfer Retreat Leader
I led the transfer retreat, which allowed me to introduce transfer students to Loyola and what it stands for. I led them on a tour/scavenger hunt of the school and led the service activity on the retreat.
Junior Grounds Crew
Being on the Junior Grounds Crew gave me leadership experience through being in charge of one of the activities. This entailed instructing hundreds of freshmen as well as senior leaders.
Big Brother Program
Leading a team of Freshman through orientation and acclimation to high school at Loyola.
House Manager Hannon Theater Company
I am responsible for front-of-house operations including checking tickets, ushering, and concessions. I am responsible for recruiting and training 3 ushers per performance for 6 performances twice a year.
Loyola Bridge Team Leader
Hand selected by my Guidance Councilor, as a Bridge Team leader, I mentor the freshman class assigned to my Guidance Counselor by leading homerooms and sharing my Loyola stories, experience, and wisdom.
Italian Club
I attend club meetings and activities, which connect me more with my cultural roots. Although not my biggest commitment, it gives me something to talk about with my Italian family in Buffalo, New York, and teaches me the history behind Italian family traditions.
